Palm Springs

A trio of massive palm trunks serve as vertical counterpoints to the property's lean horizontal lines.
The wide frontage is transformed by a contemporary design of flowing lines, varied textures, and layers of native plants, rocks, and boulders to create a lush organic desertscape.
Before

The original landscape, while clean, lacked rhythm and softness. In its place, we introduced a layered planting scheme anchored by massive California fan palms, silver-medallion agaves, and specimen yuccas. Boulders, mounding, and precisely spaced stepping stones add architectural weight, while a palette of fine-textured grasses and underplanting soften the composition and invite movement through the space.

With every element carefully positioned to frame views and respond to light, this redesign brings cohesion to the home’s strong lines while enhancing year-round interest and curb appeal — all while remaining deeply water-wise and low maintenance.

After

After: The inclusion of a meandering path, a mature Desert Ironwood tree and monumental boulders a trio of Washingtonia filifera serve as a signature statement and create a shaded walkway that invites visitors to discover the various shapes, textures, and colors of exotic hybrid mangaves and other succulents.
